Type
1
Diabetes.
Insulin-dependent is caused by damage to the Pancreas where Pancreas is unable
to produce insulin.
Type II Diabetes.
Also called non-isulin dependent diabetes, can be caused either by the
deterioration
of Beta cell of pancreas which results in in-sufficient insulin
production or by the insulin resistance developed by the cells.
CAUSE/SYMPTOMS of Diabetes.
Cause: Malfunctioning pancreas gland.
Symptoms: High glucose levels in the blood.
Pancreas, its function and how it is related to Diabetes.
Pancreas is a gland which produces hormones (Insulin) directly into bloodstream.
Insulin helps convert sugar from food into energy for cells via bloodstream.
When pancreas can not produce enough insulin, excess sugar accumulates in the
blood and is
eliminated via urine. When sugar does not reach cells, body is starved for
energy.
Symptoms of malfunctioning pancreas.
Symptoms of malfunctioning pancreas are: weakness, dizziness, cold sweats, excessive thirst, frequent urination, Ketone & acetone (poisons) form in the blood resulting in shock, blackouts, coma and sometimes death.
